The prosecutor’s office of the town of Yelets, Lipetsk region, conducted an inquiry on the appeal of a 24-year-old local resident, who has the status of a person from among orphans and children left without parental care, regarding the violation of her housing rights.

It has been established that after the death of her mother the applicant was left an orphan.

In 2013, the dwelling at the place of her registration was declared unfit for living. In this regard, in the same year, the girl was registered with citizens to be provided with living quarters.

However, to date, the applicant has not been provided with housing.

Based on the results of the inspection, the prosecutor filed a statement of claim with the court about the obligation of the Housing and Utilities Department of the Lipetsk Region to provide the orphan with a comfortable living space.

The prosecutor’s request was satisfied.

At present, the applicant is provided with a comfortable one-room apartment, the quality of which has been checked by the prosecutor’s office.
