The parties exchanged views on a wide range of issues related to challenges and threats to the security of the CSTO states and measures to neutralize them.

We identified further steps aimed at jointly combating terrorism and extremism.

We spoke in favor of expanding cooperation to prevent the penetration of foreign terrorist fighters into the territory of the CSTO states. To this end, additional measures have been developed to improve the efficiency of interaction between the competent authorities in the anti-terrorist sector.

Emphasized the need for rehabilitation, reintegration and resocialization of citizens who have become victims of terrorist ideology.

They declared their readiness for further constructive cooperation in the fight against terrorism with international organizations, as well as other states on a bilateral and multilateral basis.

The meeting participants discussed issues related to combating drug trafficking.

We considered the draft Anti-Drug Strategy of the CSTO member states for 2021-2025. The new strategy will determine the agreed approaches of all interested competent authorities in the field of countering the drug threat and the main areas of cooperation between the authorized bodies of the CSTO member states, taking into account the ongoing changes in the structure of drug threats.

The secretaries of the security councils have developed additional measures to improve the training system for law enforcement, firefighting, emergency rescue agencies and special services of the CSTO states.

We paid special attention to the issues of information security, military and military-technical cooperation.

We agreed to continue the practice of conducting military exercises, during which new forms and methods of using collective forces will be tested.

They stated that the created collective forces today have sufficient potential to solve the tasks assigned to them. At the same time, plans were discussed for their further equipping with modern weapons and military equipment, control and communication systems.

We analyzed the prospects for the CSTO peacekeeping activities with an emphasis on the possibility of the CSTO forces participating in peacekeeping operations under the auspices of the UN.

We considered issues related to the interaction of the military police, the military investigation, the military prosecutor’s office and military courts in criminal and administrative cases in relation to persons who are part of the forces and means of the collective security system.

Expressed the opinion that during the Russian chairmanship of the organization, it was possible to implement the tasks set by the heads of the CSTO states for the current year, despite the difficulties associated with the difficult epidemiological situation, as well as the deterioration of the military-political situation in the world and the regions bordering on the CSTO responsibility zone.
