As the European Disability Employment Week takes place from 16 to 22 November 2020, the State Secretariat for People with Disabilities presented the measures implemented to protect people with disabilities, families and their families. carers and guarantee them continuity of reception, support and care in the context of a health crisis. To avoid any situation of breach of rights, the Departmental Houses for the Disabled (MDPH) remain open with a physical reception adapted to the health situation of each territory. The operating rules of the Disabled People’s Rights and Autonomy Committees (CDAPH) are simplified in order to ensure continuity of service to individuals and families.
Access to healthcare
In order to facilitate access to healthcare for people with disabilities, the Centers 15 are made aware of the specific management of certain types of disability, with the help of medical regulators specializing in disability.
The presence of a caregiver alongside people to support them in their care is possible, on an exceptional basis and under the security conditions set by the health facility.
Courses in higher education institutions, vocational training organizations, vocational rehabilitation centers (CRP), are offered online.
A travel certificate is necessary to go to work, to get to a medical appointment, to assist a loved one, to do essential shopping or to take fresh air near home. Exemptions for the travel of people with disabilities and their caregivers will be provided.
On presentation of a medical certificate, the exemption concerning wearing a mask , for people who are not able to wear it, is maintained.
European Disability Employment Week (SEEPH)
The health and economic crisis requires heightened vigilance with regard to access to and job retention for people with disabilities.
So, the 24th edition of SEEPH , which takes place from November 16 to 22, 2020, offers three themes: inclusion (from schooling to employment), digital (as a facilitator of access to knowledge and employment) and invisible disability .
