Ilgar Mamedov’s Novogorsk Fencing Center hosted the All-Russian foil fencing competition among men and women. The army athletes have won five awards of various denominations – one gold, one silver and three bronze.
Olympic champion, silver medalist of the Olympic Games, multiple world and European champion, multiple winner of the World Cup and World War Games captain Inna Deriglazova won the All-Russian women’s foil fencing competition. In the semifinals, Deriglazova defeated Adelya Abdrakhmanova with a score of 15: 8. In the match for the “gold” Inna defeated Larisa Korobeinikova – 15:11, who in the semifinals was stronger than the champion of Russia, winner of the Cup of Russia Kristina Samsonova (15: 6).
Lieutenant Dmitry Zherebchenko, winner and medalist of the World and European Championships, winner of the VII World Military Games, who lost in the final with a score of 10:15 to Vladislav Mylnikov, became the second at the All-Russian foil fencer competitions.
The bronze medalists of the tournament were the winner and medalist of the Olympic Games, the winner of the World War Games, the medalist of the World and European Games, the winner and medalist of the European Championships Senior Lieutenant Timur Safin, who lost in the semifinals to Mylnikov (9:15), and the winner of the World and European Championships Kirill Borodachev , who lost at the semi-final stage to Dmitry Zherebchenko (13:15).
