The Bureau of Foreign Trade (BOFT) has launched an updated Digital Trade Counseling Plan to help Taiwanese businesses utilize digital tools to seize overseas business opportunities.

Compared to the first package which helped optimize basic marketing material, the new upgraded package focuses on using emerging digital marketing media channels to help businesses develop potential markets and buyers. The package is supported by the BOFT and the Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA), and offers a variety of digital trade counselling measures, including assistance with producing brand image videos, building virtual exhibition rooms, developing business through AI and big data analysis, precisely targeting overseas buyers, drafting and publishing bilingual advertisements, and providing commodity inspection services. Registrations have commenced and will continue until 31 March 2021.

The Digital Trade Academy has also been set up to provide online courses in cross-border e-commerce, digital transformation, digital commerce and digital marketing. For other such resources, please visit
