Stay Tune!… The Security Council is currently suspended.

The meeting will resume tomorrow (approximately 8AM, EDT) following the voting in the General Assembly. The results of the vote will then be announced by the President of the Security Council and the President of the General Assembly simultaneously.

The General Assembly and the Security Council are holding in-person, simultaneous elections for five members of the International Court of Justice. 

There are eight candidates running for five vacant seats. They are nationals of: China; Croatia; Germany; Japan; Nigeria; Rwanda; Slovakia; and Uganda. The judges will serve in their personal capacities as independent judges.
