From the first day of work, military specialists organized round-the-clock duty in intensive care units and intensive care units. Up to 30 patients with an extremely severe and severe form of the disease are treated daily under the supervision of resuscitators of the combined medical unit of the Russian Ministry of Defense. Joint continuous monitoring of patients by military specialists and medical personnel of hospitals makes it possible to timely predict, prevent and treat emergency conditions of patients arising during the development of the disease.

The consolidated medical detachment of the Ministry of Defense specialists consists of military personnel with experience in diagnosing and treating patients with coronavirus infection. The detachment includes military anesthesiologists-resuscitators, pulmonologists, therapists, infectious disease specialists, cardiologists and epidemiologists.

Earlier, at the request of the head of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation Mikhail Murashko, the Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation, General of the Army Sergei Shoigu, was instructed to provide assistance to the Kurgan region in the fight against coronavirus infection.
