Foster parents who bring up three or more children receive benefits for housing and communal services, free travel on city public transport, and they are reimbursed for telephone costs. Every year, orphans are given holiday vouchers.

Social, legal, psychological and other types of assistance can be obtained from 26 family and childhood support organizations “My family center”… Also in 2014, a unique pilot projecton property support for foster families who have taken on the upbringing of older children or children with disabilities.

“The essence of the project on property support for foster families is that the city provides apartments in Moscow under an agreement of gratuitous use to foster families who have adopted five or more orphans, of which at least three children are over 10 years old or have disabilities. During the period of the project, 286 orphans and children left without parental care moved to live with families, ”added Anastasia Rakova.

Muscovites who want to take an orphan child under guardianship, adopt him or create a foster family must undergo training in foster school… Now there are 33 such schools in the capital.
