As part of a command and staff training with the command of the Collective Rapid Reaction Force (CRRF) of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO), which is being held for the first time in the Moscow region, the Airborne Forces deployed a command post of the CRRF.

The main goal of the command and staff training is to test the functioning of the CSTO CRRF based on the automation and control equipment of the Airborne Forces.

The command-staff training is attended by servicemen from Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia and Tajikistan, the CSTO Joint Staff and the CSTO Secretariat.

In the period from 11 to 12 November 2020, a command and staff training session with the Command of the Collective Rapid Reaction Force (CRRF) of the CSTO is taking place on the territory of the Russian Federation. The training is conducted under the guidance of Colonel-General Anatoly Sidorov, chief of the CSTO Joint Staff.

The CSTO Collective Rapid Reaction Forces were formed on the basis of the Decision of the CSTO Collective Security Council of February 4, 2009 and are designed to promptly respond to challenges and threats to the security of the CSTO member states.
