Theresa Marie Baker – The Office of Congressman Alex X. Mooney – Wounded Warrior Fellowship Program – Military & Veteran Constituent Services Representative
My name is Theresa Marie Baker and I currently work for Congressman Alex X. Mooney under the Wounded Warrior Fellowship Program (WWFP) as the Military & Veteran Constituent Services Representative. I am a disabled Marine Corps veteran who was released from the Marine corps in 2019. My Marine Corps career consisted of working in the intelligence field and being a marksmanship coach.
My one dream in life was to be a Marine so in 2019 when I was medically released in my eyes it was the worst possible scenario that could have ever happened to me. I had no idea what I was going to do with my life with my plan shattering as it did, so I found a job as an armed security officer and for a while. I enjoyed it until I saw an opening for a position where I would be able to help my brother and sister veterans. I applied to a position with the WWFP and received a call from Congressman Mooney’s office for my interview and received the position.
Since working in this office, I have had the pleasure of helping countless numbers of Veterans. It is personally satisfying to help them through the complicated process of dealing with the federal bureaucracy and to be involved in the distribution of many resources developed specifically for our veterans.
As a Marine Corps disabled Marine Corps veteran who is one of Mooney’s constituents, I have had the personal and professional satisfaction of assisting the Congressman as he continues to pay homage to our dedicated military veterans.
