The federal program “Integration through Sport” (IdS) has been accompanying sports clubs and associations for over 30 years and provides them with what they need for integrative work: Currently, 16 state sports associations and youths advise and support almost 2,000 clubs and associations across Germany. They offer intercultural qualifications and support them with adequate funding. This enables several thousand sports clubs nationwide to offer people with a migration background and refugees specific offers tailored to their needs, which often go beyond pure sports courses or training groups. In order to supplement and expand this work and to win new partners, the Federal Office for Migration and Refugees (BAMF), as a sponsor of IdS, is providing additional funds as part of a special fund made available for innovative projects and measures in the field of integration. All DOSB member organizations with measures and projects in the following areas can apply for the special fund: Highly publicized implementation of projects / measures in the field of integration Qualification measures in the field of integration Increased networking and cooperation of organized sport with migrant organizations All important information about the framework conditions, the criteria and the application process can be found In the advertisement and in the application form. The application deadline is December 15, 2020. The DOSB would like to integrate as many professional associations and associations with special tasks as possible into the federal program “Integration through Sport”; Regardless of whether you are already involved in the field of integration or would like to deal with it from scratch. The prerequisite for an application is that the projects and measures are under the focus topics mentioned above. Applications can be submitted to the DOSB (landau@remove-this.dosb.de) by December 15th. A jury then evaluates the applications received.
