The 1st stage of the renovation and safety work on Bristenstrasse was completed on schedule. The requirements could also be met financially.

Between May and November 2020, the Uri building department renovated part of Bristenstrasse. In the first stage, the section between Amsteg and St. Antoni was provided with new retaining walls for around CHF 1.4 million. Loose rock masses were also secured. With these measures, Bristenstrasse could be made safer for all road users. It is encouraging that both the schedule and the costs were met.

The building management thanks the road users and the residents of Bristen and Amsteg for their patience and understanding. The completion of the first part is part of the commitment loan approved by the district administrator in the amount of CHF 13 million (+/- 25 percent), which will be invested in Bristenstrasse over the next 13 to 15 years.

Second stage 2022 As announced before the start of the first stage, the work will be divided into planning and execution years. After 2020 was an execution year, 2021 is a planning year in which no work will be carried out by the Uri building department on the street. In 2022, the second stage will be implemented with around 1.8 million francs. As in 2020, different regimes will ensure an acceptable flow of traffic for all road to inform. The app is free.
