The future dialogue chemicals and pharmaceuticals is a joint process with the representatives of the sector and the social partners, which will be developed in more detail in the next few months with various discussions and working groups. Federal Minister of Economics Peter Altmaier: “Climate protection is a central task of our generation. We want to become climate neutral and continue to maintain our international competitiveness. In particular, the energy-intensive industries, such as the chemical industry, face a major challenge. We therefore want to work out an action plan for the chemical and pharmaceutical industry together with the industry and set the course for a strong and climate-neutral chemical and pharmaceutical industry. ” The necessary framework conditions to ensure a successful transition of the chemical-pharmaceutical industry to high-performance and internationally competitive climate-neutral production are to be developed together. The future dialogue is closely intertwined with the goals of the “Industrial Strategy 2030”, the Climate Protection Plan 2050, the Climate Protection Program 2030 and the “European Green Deal”.
