The production sector of the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia in the Khabarovsk Territory is ready to join the environmental program for the separate collection of garbage and recycling

Head of the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia for the Khabarovsk Territory Yuri Dorokhin held a working meeting with representatives of the banking sector of the Far Eastern region. During the meeting, the parties discussed potential cooperation in the framework of an environmental program for separate waste collection and recycling.

The banking industry representatives noted that they are interested in the development and support of environmental programs in the region aimed at nature conservation. He added that the topic of conscious consumption, competent waste management and respect for the outside world is one of the most relevant today.

Meanwhile, according to financiers, at the moment in the Khabarovsk Territory there are no large sites where it is possible to organize the processing of waste and the production of recyclable products in demand on the market of the Territory.

Yuri Dorokhin presented to the participants of the meeting the potential of the production service of the Federal Penitentiary Service and noted that at the industrial enterprises of several penal colonies in the region there are already sections for the processing of recyclable materials.

For example, in correctional colony No. 14, a section for the production of polymer sand tiles from plastic has been operating for several years, the production of which is organized by a local entrepreneur. The penal colony provides him with a heated, secured area, storage facilities and labor. The production service of the UIS region also has experience in the production of rubber tiles from old tires for equipment of sports and playgrounds.

“Participation in the project on separate waste collection and recycling is interesting for the Federal Penitentiary Service. We are ready to expand production capacity, we are ready to install on our territory the necessary equipment to support your proposal for the development of environmental programs in the Khabarovsk Territory. However, we must be sure that the sites we have equipped will not be idle and will be in demand among entrepreneurs, ”said Yuri Dorokhin, head of the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia for the Khabarovsk Territory.

Representatives of the financial organization believe that entrepreneurs will be interested in cooperation if they are provided with financial support. For its part, the organization is ready to provide businessmen with favorable loans, and is also ready to raise the issue of co-financing an environmental project at the municipal and regional levels of government.
