This year, in correctional colony No. 10 of the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia in the Tver region, work was carried out to include information about the waste treatment and disposal facilities located on the territory of the institution into the “Territorial scheme for waste management of the Tver region.”

The territorial scheme reflects the activities for the collection, transportation, processing, utilization, disposal and disposal of waste in the Tver region. In accordance with the scheme, waste management is carried out, including solid municipal waste.

For several years, IK-10 has been operating a section for the processing of polymeric materials. The site has technological equipment that allows for the processing of municipal solid waste. The volume of production is up to 60 tons per month. At the same time, the institution produces not only semi-finished products in the form of plastic chips and granules, but also various products: sets of spatulas, grates for the pool, knee pads and others.

Currently, 30 convicts work in this production. The manufacture of products from secondary raw materials brings a considerable profit to the institution – about 4 million rubles a year.

The entire work process is aimed not only at the timely execution of the order, but also at improving the professional skills of employed convicts, which allows them to timely pay off claims under enforcement documents.
