The third Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Youth Forum was held in Shenzhen’s Luohu district on November 6.
It was organized by the Luohu Overseas Chinese Returnees Association under the guidance of the United Front Work Department of the CPC Luohu committee.
Addressing the forum, Luohu mayor Liu Zhiyong called for concerted efforts to build Luohu into an all-embracing hub where the youth could better pursue their dreams. He encouraged young overseas returnees to seize the opportunities brought by the building of the Greater Bay Area.
“Luohu will always support exchanges and integration between the youth in the Greater Bay Area and build more quality platforms for them to deepen understanding and advance their cooperation on business startups and innovation,” said Liu.
Other heavyweight keynote speakers include Ma Weihua, chairman of the National Fund for Technology Transfer and Commercialization (NFTTC) and former president of China Merchants Bank, Le Zheng, professor of Southern University of Science and Technology, and Guo Wanda, executive vice-president of China Development Institute (Shenzhen).
Attendees shared their views on the future high-quality development of Shenzhen and put forward suggestions for the youth to devote to the development of the Greater Bay Area.
The Greater Bay Area comprises the two Special Administrative Regions of Hong Kong and Macao and nine cities in Guangdong Province, namely Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Zhuhai, Foshan, Huizhou, Dongguan, Zhongshan, Jiangmen, and Zhaoqing.
