On November 9, a weekly conference call was held under the leadership of the First Deputy Minister of Emergencies of Russia Alexander Chupriyan. In a number of regions, ice is already forming and it is snowing, therefore the territorial bodies of the department, together with local authorities, conduct round-the-clock monitoring of dangerous sections of roads, and notify drivers.

Over the past week, traffic restrictions were introduced on three sections of federal and regional roads for preventive purposes. When responding to more than 1.8 thousand road accidents, fire and rescue units have saved over 1.2 thousand people.

Also, during the week, 129 people were rescued by the forces of search and rescue and rescue military units, at the moment the search continues for 5 people.

During the meeting, it was noted that more than 4.4 thousand man-made fires were recorded during the reporting period. At the moment, all fires have been liquidated, more than 400 of them – with the involvement of volunteer fire brigades. Two centers of wildfires in the Altai and Primorsky Territories are localized and do not pose a threat to settlements.
