The Government of Colombia congratulates President-elect Joe Biden, and Kamala Harris, the first woman elected Vice President, for their victory in the United States elections.

In this regard, Chancellor Claudia Blum said that “US citizens have honored their democratic tradition and Colombia will work with President-elect Joe Biden to continue consolidating economic, commercial, political and cooperation ties. We will continue to strengthen the strategic bilateral relationship with the United States, which has strong bipartisan support in that country. “

He added that: “We are going to continue to strengthen our agenda with the new United States Government, to increase trade and investment. Also, cooperation in justice and security, human rights, environment, innovation, and in social and humanitarian affairs ”.
