Legal representatives will not have to submit documents confirming their status.

Resolution of November 5, 2020 No. 1784

From 2021, trustees and guardians will be able to apply for benefits and benefits for their wards through the portal of public services. Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin signed a decree amending the acts necessary for this.

Now, in order to receive social support measures, citizens do not have to submit documents confirming the status of a trustee or guardian. Government agencies will themselves receive this information through the Unified State Information System for Social Security (EGISSO). Until the end of 2020, it will collect information about all legal representatives of citizens (guardians, trustees, parents).

This will help you remotely process any benefits and benefits intended for a citizen on whose behalf a guardian or guardian is acting – from child benefits and free parking permits to benefits for medicines, medical devices and medical food.

In addition, the inclusion of information in EGISSO will protect citizens on whose behalf legal representatives act. For example, if a guardian or trustee takes a legally significant action on behalf of the citizen he represents – buy an apartment or agree to a transaction, his rights can be checked in the state information system.
