During the day, another 5829 new cases of COVID-19 were detected in the city. 1,414 people were hospitalized in hospitals. 367 patients are connected to artificial lung ventilation devices, the operational headquarters for control and monitoring of the situation with coronavirus in Moscow said.

44 percent of new cases are people aged 18 to 45 years, 31.3 percent – from 46 to 65 years old, 9.6 percent – from 66 to 79 years old, 3.9 percent – over 80 years old. 11.2 percent of the cases are children. All patients and people in contact with them are under medical supervision.

Today in the capital deployed more than 15 thousand beds for patients with COVID-19, 70 percent of this fund is involved. There is also a bed reserve that can be used if necessary. With a difficult epidemiological situation, the planned treatment of patients with other diseases does not stop. The number of appointments for applications not related to coronavirus reaches 80 percent of the same period last year.

Moscow may limit itself to existing measures to combat the pandemic

People over 65 years old and with chronic diseases are recommended to observe the home regime until the end of November, employers are required to transfer at least 30 percent of their employees to remote work. Distance learning for high school students was extended for another two weeks – until November 22. In public places, a mask and gloves are required and social distancing is required.
