Home favorite Jin Boyang topped the podium of the men’s singles at the ISU figure skating Grand Prix Cup of China here on Saturday.
Skating to “House of the Rising Sun,” two-time world bronze medalist Jin collected the highest single round points in the free skate, 186.95, and a total of 290.89 to win the title.
“I’m very satisfied. I practised this show for two weeks, and I performed better than expected,” the defending champion said.
“But honestly, it wasn’t my best performance. I will try to be more stable and confident on the rink. I will work harder on my jumps. I hope my showcase can be more fluent and beautiful in the future,” Jin added.
Yan Han gained 172.25 points in the free skate and 264.81 in total to clinch the silver medal. Teenage skater Chen Yudong placed third with a total of 226.21 points.
