Servicemen of a separate guards airborne assault formation from Primorye on the Day of Military Intelligence visited the pupils of the Center for Assistance to Family Placement of Orphans and Children Left Without Parental Care in Ussuriisk.
The paratroopers arrived with flags, full ammunition, airsoft copies of small arms, as well as a sweet treat for the guys.
As the commander of the unit admitted, Dmitry Ivanov, the decision to visit the orphanage was unanimously adopted by all the scouts.
“Here children from an early age are brought up in severity and are accustomed to order. This makes them similar to our routine, gives a kind of advantage during urgent and contract service. Therefore, we decided to conduct a career guidance lesson here. There are smart guys, athletes in this institution. We just have to tell them what a military career is, what are its advantages. And, of course, where can you go from the romance that all boys dream of. And this is precisely the service in the Airborne Forces and in its elite subdivisions – in intelligence, ”the officer said.
In the Ussuriysk Center for Assistance to the Family Placement of Orphans and Children Left Without Parental Care, there is a Youth Army detachment, in which 11 high school students have signed up. As the commander of the Yunarmeyskiy unit Denis Levchenko noted in an interview with the servicemen, he himself was going to try his luck when entering the educational institution of the Russian Defense Ministry. But if the competition does not pass, he is ready to become a conscript.
In an informal setting, the scouts-paratroopers talked with the pupils of the center, during the conversation the servicemen talked about the peculiarities of military service, the characteristics of the weapons used in the troops, and answered questions from schoolchildren. By the way, the paratroopers decided not to take military weapons with them to the educational institution and limited themselves to copies.
In turn, the teachers of the orphanage asked the paratroopers to visit their institution more often so that the boys had someone to look up to.
