Bogotá (Nov. 5/20). We renew the 2020-2022 Cooperation Program between Colombia and the Dominican Republic, by holding the VI Meeting of the Mixed Commission for Technical, Scientific, Educational and Cultural Cooperation between both countries.

This meeting was chaired by the Vice Minister of Economic Affairs and International Cooperation of the Dominican Chancellery, Ambassador Hugo Rivera Fernández; the Vice Minister of International Cooperation and Organizer of the European Funds for Development, Olaya Dotel Caraballo, of the Ministry of Economy, Planning and Development, and the Director of International Cooperation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Colombia, Ambassador Marcela Ordóñez Fernández.

Committed to the social and economic reactivation, and the technical contributions that both countries can provide from the Global South, the delegations agreed on the need to concentrate efforts and actions to continue advancing in the implementation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, through a robust bilateral and regional agenda.

Eight projects were approved that the two countries will develop in the 2020-2022 period, aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG), in the sectors of industry, tourism, health, cartography, employment, social protection, risk management, and education technique.
