At the request of the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Russian Federation, the competent authorities of Poland extradited Besik Kochalidze to Russia.

He is accused of committing a crime under Part 1 of Art. 105 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (murder).

According to the investigation, in September 2006, while in the courtyard of a school located in Moscow, Kochalidze stabbed a classmate several times in the torso with a knife during a quarrel. As a result of his injuries, the victim died.

After the crime was committed, the killer fled from law enforcement agencies and was put on the international wanted list.

In connection with the detention of Kochalidze on the territory of the Republic of Poland, the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Russian Federation sent a request for his extradition to foreign colleagues, which was granted.

Thanks to the coordinated actions of the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Russian Federation, organized interaction with the competent authorities of the Polish side, it was possible to achieve a decision on his extradition.

Accompanied by a special convoy, Besik Kochalidze was delivered to Russia.
