Headline: AMERICA/NICARAGUA – Towards the presidential elections with a divided opposition: Bishop of Matagalpa asks for more humility
Matagalpa – “Humble people do not want to be at the center of attention, the humble do not try to attract attention because they are not interested in attracting attention. When humble people do good, they do it in silence”, said Mgr. Rolando Álvarez, Bishop of the diocese of Matagalpa, during his homily on November 2, referring to the position of the opposition with a view to leaving the National Alliance. The prelate underlined that the opposition lives “in controversies, in protagonism, in the search for personal or group interests, in the thirst to be protagonists, in offenses, aggressions”.
