Manama, Kingdom of Bahrain – 5 November 2020 – The Central Bank of Bahrain (CBB) would like to warn banks’ customers not to respond to any telephone calls and messages received through smartphone applications (such as WhatsApp, etc.) claiming to be the CBB or the bank service provider requesting personal and banking information.
In this regard, the CBB urges customers to ensure that their personal and banking information is kept private and confidential. In addition and as per prior alerts, customers are reminded that the CBB and banks would never request such sensitive information through telephone calls.
