On November 6, 2020, Service-Public.fr celebrates its 20th anniversary! It is indeed since November 6, 2000 that the official site of the French administration supports you in your rights and your procedures at each stage of your daily life with always the same mission: to simplify the daily life of users (individuals, professionals or actors of the associative sector) in their relations with the administration!

20 years of discussions with users, for simplified access to administrative information

Service-Public.fr, always in close proximity with its users, delivers practical, official, accessible, free and up-to-date information on legal and administrative news. Service-Public.fr, every month more than 34 million visits and:

3,200 educational sheets and thousands of links to practical official resources: forms, online procedures, reference texts, simulators, model letters, etc. ;
contact details for national administrative services and public services (“Administration Directory”): 72,000 local organizations and counters competent to handle user formalities and 13,000 identified administration officials;
administrative news with the site’s “News” section, social networks (Facebook and Twitter), the weekly letter sent to more than 860,000 subscribers;
a response service via messaging and telephone with 3939.

Personalized services

With the geolocation of the available services referred to in the administration directory, you have direct access to the contact details of physical counters, organizations and institutional players close to you.
With the personalized routes within the information sheets, only the information that corresponds to your situation is presented to you.
With access to more than 110 calculation or situation simulators (calculation of the cost of a vehicle registration document, alimony, trainee gratuity, traffic offenses, etc.), you get a personalized result.
With the letter models (resignation letter, parental leave, etc.) but also Cerfa forms that you can complete online, you have a document that can be used directly.
With your personal account or your association account, you can manage the follow-up of your procedures online and securely host your administrative documents.
From the consultation of a file, you can obtain details over the phone concerning the subject discussed. Once a call code has been issued, you enter into telephone contact with a specialized informant. The 3939 Allo Service public (€ 0.15 / minute + call price) provides information on the rights, obligations and procedures to be taken for the user. At the end of the call, you will receive a memo with the information you need to complete the process.
By subscribing, you can receive email alerts when there is a significant update in content or when a news item appears on a topic that interests you.

2004: 26.4 million visits. 91,000 subscribers to the electronic newsletter.

2007: redesign of the space for professionals.

2012: 143.5 million visits. Public Site of the Year Award.

2015: launch of the new Service-Public.fr (new ergonomics, new graphics, editorial development, new technical architecture) 285.5 million visits, 25% of which were mobile.

2017: in accordance with the requirements of the general accessibility framework, the site obtains level 5, the highest level of the e-accessible label in 2017.

2018: new online service including registration on the electoral roll.

2019: Service-public.fr exceeds 300 million visits.

2020: Service-public celebrates its 20th anniversary and records more than 313 million visits at the end of September.
