The crews of the Iskander-M operational-tactical missile complex (OTRK) of the Central Military District (CVO) missile unit successfully launched a missile on a training target at the Donguz training ground in the Orenburg region.

The launch of the rocket was carried out according to the plan of the exercise, conducted as part of the final check of the military units of the 2nd combined arms army stationed in the Volga region. The servicemen managed to successfully hit a target that simulated a critical enemy object. The effectiveness of hitting the target was assessed using the Orlan-10 unmanned aerial vehicle.

Also, the calculations met the standards for transferring the complex to a combat position and reloading missiles.

More than 3 thousand servicemen of the communications brigade, as well as the missile and artillery formations of the 2nd Combined Arms Army of the Central Military District, were involved in the exercise. The grouping of forces created at the training ground in the Orenburg region is practicing practical actions to control missile strikes and artillery fire. During the exercise, live firing from missile systems, multiple launch rocket systems, self-propelled and towed howitzers, artillery cannons and mortars is carried out.

A total of about 600 pieces of military equipment were involved in the event, including the Iskander-M OTRK.
