The crew of the newest submarine Volkhov of project 636.3, which was accepted into the Navy on October 24 by order of the Commander-in-Chief of the Russian Navy, Admiral Nikolai Evmenov, was trained at the Naval Training Center under a specially developed training program.

In particular, the training of the crew was carried out on the basis of integrated simulators, which were created specifically for the submarines of this project and accurately imitate the main command post, command posts and combat posts of submarines of the project 636.3.

Submariners were trained in general, special training, as well as group training as part of the crew. Training was carried out for the ship’s combat crew, the main command post, for controlling the submarine and ensuring the navigation safety of navigation, as well as for fighting for the survivability of the submarine.

The crew checked the acquired knowledge during all stages of testing the Volkhov submarine, confirming their high professionalism.

The Volkhov submarine is the second in a series of six ships being built at JSC Admiralty Shipyards for the Russian Pacific Fleet. The ship was laid down in July 2017 and launched in December 2019. The first submarine, Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky, was handed over to the Navy in November 2019.
