During a scheduled airborne training exercise, the paratroopers of the Ivanovo Guards Airborne Force made more than 500 parachute jumps per day from An-2 aircraft on D-10 parachute systems.

Early in the morning the first group of paratroopers, in which only experienced paratroopers-paratroopers, took off from the Ivanovo-Severny airfield, made a sighting jump to the Yasyunikha landing site. At the place of their landing, the crews of the aircraft assess the situation and, in the future, carry out the landing, making only small corrections for the wind.

The landing was carried out from an altitude of 600 meters with a separation speed of about 180 km / h.

After landing, the subunits worked out tactical actions to capture important objects of the conditional enemy.

In just one jumping day, more than 500 servicemen of the Ivanovo formation were parachuted.
