The Grand Slam tournament ended in Budapest (Hungary), which brought army judokas five medals of various denominations – three gold, one silver and one bronze.

Ensign Mikhail Igolnikov, performing in the weight category up to 90 kg, brought the Russian national team and the Army Club a gold medal at the Grand Slam tournament in Budapest. During the tournament, the soldier defeated Avtandil Chrikishvili from Georgia, Hungarian Cristian Thoth, Azerbaijani Mammadali Mehdiev and representing Spain Nikoloz Sherazadishvili. In the final, Igolnikov was stronger than the Mongolian Altanbagan Gantulga. Third place was taken by Nikoloz Sherazadishvili and Mammadali Mehdiev.

Lieutenant Niyaz Ilyasov became the best in the weight category up to 100 kg, passing in the capital of Hungary Croat Zlatko Kumrich, Ukrainian Viktor Demyanenko, Turk Mert Shishmanlar and Tom Nikiforov, playing for Belgium, and in the final he was stronger than his compatriot Arman Adamyan. Jorge Fonseca from Portugal and Canadian Shady Elnajas became bronze medalists.

Warrant officer Inal Tasoev and Sergeant Tamerlan Bashaev met in the final of the weight category over 100 kg. At the end of the first minute, Tasoev won by retention. Levan Matiashvili and Gela Zaalishvili from Georgia rose to the third step of the podium.

Warrant officer Daria Davydova, who competes in the weight category up to 63 kg, became the winner of the bronze medal of the tournament. At the preliminary stage, our athlete won against the Danish Lerke Olsen and Magdalena Krssakova from Austria, but in the semifinals she lost to the Slovenian Tina Trstenjak, who eventually took the gold. In the small finals, Davydova defeated Brazilian Ketlin Cuadros, sharing the bronze with the host of the competition, Zofi Ozbash.
