The decision will improve the socio-economic situation in the region.

Order dated October 24, 2020 No. 2747-r

Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin ordered to allocate another 1.3 billion rubles for housing for those who suffered from floods in the Irkutsk region in the summer of 2019.

The money will go to the construction of new and reconstruction of damaged houses. In February 2020, 3 billion rubles were already allocated for these purposes from the Government’s reserve fund, and in 2019 – more than 14 billion rubles.

This will allow flood victims to resolve housing issues and generally improve the socio-economic situation in the region.

During a natural disaster in the Irkutsk region in the summer of 2019, almost 11 thousand residential buildings and more than 100 social institutions were flooded. Several dozen people died, more than 1.5 thousand – medical assistance was required.

In September 2019, the Government approved a program for the restoration of housing, communications facilities, social and engineering infrastructure in the area affected by the flood. The document contains 211 activities to be implemented in the period from 2019 to 2023. A number of ministries have been appointed as responsible executors of the program, including the Ministry of Construction, the Ministry of Emergencies, the Ministry of Health, and the Ministry of Agriculture.

The signed document changes Government decree of February 20, 2020 No. 373-r.
