In Novogorsk, Moscow Region, the winners of the first all-Russian fencing competitions in epee among women and men after a long break have been determined. The army team won four awards – two gold and two bronze.

Lieutenant Tatyana Andryushina defeated Inga Uspenskaya in the quarterfinals with a score of 15:10. Another army athlete, Violetta Khrapina, lost to Maria Fofanova with a score of 11:15 in the fight for reaching the quarterfinals, but then beat Yulia Polozova with a score of 15:10 and guaranteed herself a place in the quarterfinals, where she won over Maria Fofanova with a score of 15:11 …

In the semifinals, Tatyana Andryushina and Violetta Khrapina met. The meeting turned out to be quite tense. In the end, Tatyana Andryushina snatched the victory with a score of 14:13, and then defeated Aizanat Murtazaeva in the final – 15: 9. Violetta Khrapina defeated her teammate – warrant officer Yulia Lichagina – 15: 7 in the match for third place.

Warrant officer Alan Farzinov became the best at the All-Russian epee fencing competition among men. In the semifinals, he met with teammate Sergei Khodos – 15: 6. In the final, Alan Farzinov was opposed by Sergey Bida. As a result of a stubborn struggle, the army player won – 14:13.

Sergei Khodos, defeating Vadim Anokhin in the match for third place (15: 3), became the bronze medalist of the tournament.
