According to a study, travelers are more demanding and seek accommodation with safety certifications

This is what the survey conducted by Elo / TRVL Lab found. The survey also points out that when choosing hotels, more than 82% of travelers think it is important to have measures that guarantee the safety of tourists’ health. Also according to the study, the search for information on protocols and hygienic-sanitary certification is increasing by people who are resuming their travels. Responsible Tourism ”is precisely to guarantee security so that tourists can enjoy Brazilian destinations. “We were one of the first 10 countries to create health protocols for tourists, which made us position ourselves, both inside and outside Brazil, as a safe destination and prepared to meet this new tourist profile that is emerging. I believe that if all establishments linked to the sector adhere to the seal, our tourism will return even stronger ”, he said. In June of this year, the Ministry of Tourism launched the“ Responsible Tourism – Clean and Safe ”seal so that companies in the sector resume their activities following all hygiene protocols. To date, more than 23,200 establishments have joined the project, which is available for 15 tourist activities, such as accommodation, theme parks, restaurants, coffee shops, bars, convention centers, fairs, exhibitions, tourist guides, among others. others.The work carried out by the establishments that adopted the “Responsible Tourism” seal is already being noticed by tourists. Retired Eliezer Guimarães recently went to Porto Seguro, in the south of Bahia, and liked what he saw. “I am watching, yes. The hotel I stayed in is super quiet. One accommodation is very far from the other, the places are all restricted. You have to make an appointment to have access to the pool, bars and access the games ”, he said. The segments with the highest number of requests for the seal are: tourism agencies, lodging facilities, tour guides, tourist carriers and restaurants, coffee shops, bars and the like. The states that registered the greatest adhesion to the initiative are: São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Minas Gerais, Bahia and Rio Grande do Sul. THE MOST VISITED – The survey also brought a percentage of the most visited states in the country. São Paulo (40.84%), Rio de Janeiro (26.89%) and Minas Gerais (21.12%) were the main destinations for travelers throughout Brazil. In the Northeast, Bahia (17.93%) and, in the South of the country, Santa Catarina (18.78%) were one of the most visited by tourists. In addition, the main attractions sought by tourists were the beach (53.78%), mountains or mountains (12.75%) and cities and large urban centers (11.35%).
