Military engineers of the combined arms army of the Eastern Military District have completed planned work on the dismantling of the damaged buildings of the former military camps on the territory of the Amur Region. In total, in 2020, the forces of the engineering divisions of the association brought down 16 decommissioned structures of former military towns in the region.

The work was carried out on the territory of the Svobodnensky region of the Amur region. To carry out the task, a consolidated unit of about 30 people was formed. The work was carried out without interrupting combat training. The command decided to conduct a special tactical exercise, during which the servicemen gained a unique experience in blasting operations on damaged buildings.

Most of the buildings were destroyed by explosions, as this allowed them to be carried out safely and with a higher result in the shortest possible time. Remains of buildings and small structures were disassembled mechanically using heavy engineering equipment. A tank-based engineering vehicle (IMR) was used for the work.

The work done made it possible to get rid of emergency buildings that are potentially dangerous to human life and health.
