The capital has approved the project for the layout of the Moskva River embankment on the ZIL Peninsula. It will be located in the Danilovsky district between the Marc Chagall and Simonovskaya embankments. Its area will be almost 32 hectares. The corresponding decree was signed Sergei Sobyanin.
On the future embankment, a pedestrian zone with walking, jogging and cycling paths with a total length of about four kilometers will be landscaped. For comfortable access to water, it is planned to reconstruct a staircase in the area of Projected Passage No. 780 and build three additional ones. There will also be a berth for river vessels.
The carriageway of the embankment will run at a considerable distance from the coastline. To cross the road, it is planned to make 22 ground pedestrian crossings. In addition, seven public transport stops will be equipped on the embankment.

The project for the complex reorganization of the former industrial zone “ZIL” provides for the creation of a new urban area of balanced development. In addition to residential buildings, schools, kindergartens, a polyclinic, embankments are being built, special attention is paid to the transport infrastructure. One of the largest sports clusters in the city, Park of Legends, has been built here, which includes an ice rink and a water sports palace. It is planned to open a branch of the Hermitage Museum, theaters and an art center.
In total, about 40 thousand jobs will be created on the territory of the ZIL Peninsula.
