Decree of October 24, 2020 No. 1731

An additional competitive selection of private medical organizations involved in long-term care of citizens over 65 years old will take place in the regions from November 1 to 18. The decree on this was signed by the Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin.

A pilot project to attract private organizations to provide medical and social assistance to older people was launched in 2020. So far, 32 organizations in nine regions of Russia take part in it. Among them are Mordovia, Tatarstan, Altai Territory, Voronezh, Kemerovo, Kostroma, Novosibirsk, Tambov and Tula regions.

In these regions, private organizations interact with the polyclinic to which the elderly person is attached, and, as prescribed by the district doctor, provide him with the necessary assistance. For example, specialists from private clinics can conduct regular check-ups at home, keep an individual patient diary, monitor prescribed medications, take tests, and conduct infusion therapy.

This form of medical care is especially important during the spread of coronavirus infection. It allows older people to avoid additional contact.

To participate in this project, organizations undergo competitive selection, according to the results of which they are awarded grants in the form of subsidies from the federal budget.
