The Youth Legal Service offers free legal information, advice and assistance to young people 25 years and younger across NSW.

They can advise on:

  • Employment law problems (for example, bullying or discrimination at work, underpayment of wages and entitlements, or unfair dismissal)
  • Owing and being owed money (including fines and mobile phone debt)
  • Criminal charges
  • Victims’ support services
  • Consumer law issues
  • Complaints about police
  • Problems at home.

Advice is generally given over the phone through an advice call-back service. To arrange a phone call, you can use their online form or give them a call on (02) 9559 2899. There is also an online chat box.

The service is run by the Marrickville Legal Centre.
