New measures to combat poverty were announced on October 24, 2020, by the Prime Minister, Jean Castex, during a trip to the Le Bois de l’Abbé accommodation and social reintegration center, the Emmaüs Solidarité association, in Epinay-sur-Orge.
The new measures revolve around three main priorities: 1. Support the incomes of the most precarious and modest. 2. Prevent a slide into poverty by developing integration and activity solutions. 3. Strengthen access and retention in housing.
