The one-week observation internship in a company which is to take place during year 3 is this year made exceptionally optional due to the health crisis and the resulting economic situation. However, it remains very desirable. In the absence of an internship, training in the world of work will be offered to college students.

The 3rd year internship is usually compulsory during the last year of college. It lasts 5 days and can be carried out in a company, in an association or a public establishment. It represents a first experience of the working world which allows students to discover a trade or a sector. It is also an opportunity for them to gain autonomy, to gain confidence in an environment different from the school environment and to clarify their career plan.

Due to the health context and its economic consequences, college students may encounter particular difficulties this year in finding their internship. Indeed, many companies have been forced to review their organization and will not be able to accommodate these young people.

This is why this internship is not compulsory this year. It is nevertheless strongly recommended by the Ministry of Education for the benefits that the students derive from this experience.

When they cannot take place, these courses will be replaced by video modules and training on the world of work and guidance.

To know: How do I find a hospitality company? How to prepare for the interview? How is the internship evaluated in my school career? You will find all the useful information to support the organization and monitoring of the internship on the website of the Ministry of National Education .
