In the Ivanovo Guards airborne formation, seasonal maintenance of weapons, military and special equipment (VVS) and their transfer to winter operation are in full swing.

“The complex of measures for the transfer of military equipment to the winter mode of operation is carried out in order to maintain it in a high degree of readiness and ensure its reliable operation in any operating conditions,” said Colonel Alexei Parkin, deputy commander of the Ivanovo Guards airborne unit for armament.

Immediately before the start of the transfer of military equipment, a lot of work was done: classes were held with personnel in order and organization of high-quality transfer of equipment, the necessary posts were deployed for service of military equipment, a defect identification was carried out for all equipment samples without exception, which made it possible to identify problematic issues that need to be paid special attention when carrying out activities for the transfer of technology.

A full range of seasonal maintenance is carried out on each unit of equipment: the operability of all components and assemblies is checked, all filters, oils and special fluids are replaced. Upon completion of the transfer, a review will take place, which will determine the volume and quality of the work performed, the readiness of the AME for the winter operation mode.

In total, the servicemen of the compound will serve more than 2,000 pieces of weapons, military and special equipment of various modifications.
