The Russian orienteering championship has finished in the Orenburg region. The result of the tournament for army athletes was five gold, five silver and two bronze medals, including as part of teams.
Captain Tatyana Ryabkina showed the best result – 1 hour 7 minutes 30 seconds – in the cross-long (23 control points, 12.1 km) on the first competition day. Captain Yulia Novikova finished second, 24 seconds back. Irina Lazareva closed the top three – 1 hour 14 minutes 8 seconds.
On the second day of competition, the winners and prize-winners of the national championship in cross-classics among women (15 CP, 6.5 km) were determined. This time, the entire podium was taken by the athletes of the Army Club. Yulia Novikova took the lead, showing a time of 31 minutes 12 seconds. Captain Natalya Efimova climbed to the second step of the podium, falling behind her teammate in 21 seconds. Tatyana Ryabkina rose to the third step of the podium with a lag of 39 seconds.
Also, Tatyana Ryabkina and Yulia Novikova as part of the troika (Ryabkina, Novikova and Ekaterina Nikitina) took the lead in the cross-relay among women (14 control points, 5.4 km), which took place on the third day of the tournament. The team of Ryabkina and Novikova showed a time of 1 hour 24 minutes 14 seconds. The second result – 1 hour 31 minutes 16 seconds – was shown by the team of Natalya Efimova (Efimova, Nina Temyakova and Aliya Sitdikova). Olesya Ryazanova, Tatiana Bevza and Olga Elizarova took the third place – 1 hour 31 minutes 31 seconds.
On the same day, men competed in the cross-relay (17 control points, 6.9 km). The troika of Lieutenant Dmitry Tsvetkov (Tsvetkov, Igor Popov and Konstantin Serebryanitsky) showed the second result among men – 1 hour 31 minutes 31 seconds, losing only to Nikita Kurnosov, Andrey Kozyrev and Andrey Ukhvanov (1 hour 30 minutes 9 seconds). Captain Andrey Khramov, Ivan Nikitin and Valentin Novikov closed the top three – 1 hour 31 minutes 53 seconds.
On the final competitive day of the Russian Orienteering Championship in the Orenburg region, a cross-marathon was held – among women and men.
The best among women (24 control points, 16.8 km) was Natalya Efimova, who showed a time of 1 hour 36 minutes 24 seconds. Anastasia Sergeeva became the silver medalist with a result of 1 hour 39 minutes. Veronika Kalinina climbed to the third step of the podium – 1 hour 39 minutes 56 seconds.
The second among men was captain Leonid Novikov (1 hour 44 minutes 50 seconds), behind only Mikhail Kuleshov (1 hour 44 minutes 6 seconds). The third result – 1 hour 46 minutes 16 seconds – was shown by Ivan Kuchmenko.
