During the day, 4,312 new cases of COVID-19 were detected in Moscow, 1,267 people were hospitalized in hospitals. 304 patients are connected to artificial ventilation devices in Moscow hospitals. This was reported in the operational headquarters for control and monitoring of the situation with coronavirus in Moscow.

42.3 percent of new cases are people aged 18 to 45 years, 29.8 percent – from 46 to 65 years old, 10.6 percent – from 66 to 79 years old, 4.8 percent – over 80 years old. Another 12.5 percent are children. All patients and those who came into contact with them are under medical supervision.

Additional measures have been taken in the capital to combat the spread of coronavirus. Citizens over 65 and Muscovites with chronic diseases must observe a home regime, employers are required to transfer at least 30 percent of employees to remote work, and pupils in grades 6-11 study remotely.

In addition, Moscow is deploying additional capacity to combat COVID-19. Temporary hospitals were opened in the Krylatskoye Ice Palace, Sokolniki Exhibition and Convention Center, Moscow ATC and VDNKh, and roder buildings are opening on the territories of the largest clinics. Some of them have already started accepting patients. Among them, hospitals on the basis of hospitals No. 67 named after L.А. Vorokhobov and No. 52, the medical complex in Kommunarka, the N.V. Sklifosovsky, Infectious Diseases Clinical Hospital No. 2 and other institutions.
