School is more interesting than a computer game – this is possible if classes are held remotely on an interactive platform. The teachers from the capital shared their opinions about remote work and told why the guys were looking forward to the end of the autumn holidays.
The first school week after a two-week vacation took place in Moscow schools. For pupils of the sixth – 11th grades, lessons are carried out remotely using “Moscow Electronic School”… Read about the first week after the holidays, what conclusions the teachers made, and why the children are more interested in studying than playing computer games in the mos.ru article.
Since the fall of 2020, MES has started working on the internal conference call service. Teachers recognize that it speeds up and simplifies the process.
According to the teacher of English and German at school No. 760 named after A.P. Maresyeva Irina Klyuchenko, now teachers and schoolchildren enter the MES through an electronic journal and a diary on the mos.ru website. Then they find the lesson they want in their timetable, click on it, and enter the virtual classroom. “Everything is very clear,” says the teacher.
However, there were some glitches on the first day of class.
Irina Klyuchenko adds that by the third lesson everything was working as usual.
School of the future: why it is important to develop “MES”
Teachers and schoolchildren have been testing the updated version of MES all week. Now it looks like an exciting game even more than before. In this system, you can move from one level to another, choose lesson scenarios, control, practical tasks, additional materials, read books, give students grades, and much more. The new school subject guide – thematic framework – allows you to quickly find the topics you want within each subject. Schoolchildren see in their diary what has already been passed and what is to be learned. In addition, the program itself offers educational content in the electronic library on the topic of the lesson.
Other novelties of MES are the physics laboratories Optics and Mechanics, the technological laboratory Logitarium, the virtual simulator Yandex. Tutor “, helping to consolidate their knowledge in various subjects or test themselves before the USE and OGE, and the voice assistant” Alice “, who will tell you about grades, homework and the schedule.
According to Maria Alenkina, the system is constantly updated with new lesson scripts and auxiliary materials that resemble various puzzles, games, such as Tetris. They are compiled by methodologists and practicing teachers, put into the system, after which all metropolitan schools get access to these developments. While completing tasks, children themselves, combining elements, create a complete and understandable picture of the world.
“There are more video tutorials on the Russian language. For example, interactive tables in which children search for the correct answer by rearranging virtual bricks. They seem to be building a house. Interesting exercises in literature also appear – for example, fifth-graders learn to correlate literary characters with the titles of works, combining them with arrows, ”explains Maria Alenkina.
Irina Klyuchenko writes content on foreign languages for MES herself. Lesson scripts are designed in such a way that any teacher can use them even without preparation.

Show a lesson!
The teachers are sure that the children are so passionate about computer studies that they do not want to miss a single lesson. Sitting at home, they do not relax, do not be lazy, do not shirk. The teachers say that when the virtual lesson starts and the electronic board turns on, the guys forget about the games. And even they themselves ask to be shown an interactive lesson.
“For example, I was greatly surprised by my seventh graders by how actively, orderly and responsibly they do their homework,” says Mikhail Karzhavin.
Some schoolchildren have become more effective in learning on distance learning. So, Maria Alenkina’s one ninth-grader, due to weakened immunity, often missed classes due to illness and was worried that he was not mastering the educational material well enough. Now his grades are better.
“The boy realized that he can study remotely. If he suddenly misses the explanation of a new topic, he can always look in the diary for a lesson script in “MES”, attached by the teacher to the lesson, and figure it out, ”the teacher adds.
From the point of view of psychologists, the main difficulty in distance learning is the unusual situation for parents and children. Schoolchildren, especially adolescents, are accustomed to active communication with peers, walks, and an active life. Having lost this, they may experience anxiety.
The second advice to parents is to draw up a daily routine for themselves and the student, to register morning and evening rituals, hours of study and games in it. Be sure to leave time for personal and household chores. “It is very important to create a routine together with the child so that he feels like an adult and independent,” says the psychologist.
Tip number three is good sleep. Physical activity, exercise, sports are also necessary. All this evokes positive emotions. It is also advisable to arrange family movie screenings in your free time, cook together, play board games. Such activities create a favorable climate in the family.
“It is imperative to properly organize the student’s workspace. This includes a stable working Internet, laptop or tablet, installing programs on a computer. It is important for a child to understand that he was not left alone, ”continues Daria Kiseleva.
The specialist recommends to teenagers experiencing stress to use free services of the city, for example, the chat “We are near”, where you can anonymously ask any question and get an answer.
Teachers add on their own that the main thing is not to panic, not to worry, even if the Internet is turned off or the student missed the lesson.
“Everything is fixable. If all of us – parents, teachers and children – act together, we will succeed, ”sums up Maria Alenkina.
