Today, in the Valley of Glory, a solemn ceremony of burying the remains of Soviet soldiers who died during the Great Patriotic War in the Arctic, which were found by search engines during the summer search season, took place. In total, 91 Red Army soldiers were buried. The search engines managed to establish the names of 13 defenders of the Soviet Arctic. Among them is a pilot, junior lieutenant Nikolai Talalikhin, the elder brother of Hero of the Soviet Union Viktor Talalikhin. He died on July 11, 1941.

The ceremony of burying the remains of the defenders of the Fatherland was attended by the Deputy Commander of the Northern Fleet for military-political work Rear Admiral Igor Kurochkin, Governor of the Murmansk Region Andrey Chibis, Chairman of the Murmansk Regional Duma Sergei Dubovoy, representatives of the clergy, servicemen of the Northern Fleet submarine forces, residents of the Murmansk region and relatives dead Red Army soldiers. His daughter, granddaughter and great-grandson came to honor the memory of Nikolai Talalikhin.

During the ceremony, a meeting was held at which the top officials of the region spoke. Rear Admiral Igor Kurochkin, on behalf of the commander of the Northern Fleet, Hero of Russia, Vice Admiral Alexander Moiseyev, thanked the participants in the search movement of the Murmansk region, emphasizing the exceptional importance of their work. For active search activities and in honor of the 75th anniversary of the Victory of the Soviet people in the Great Patriotic War, the Deputy Fleet Commander presented public awards to 21 search engines.

Flowers were laid at the graves of the Red Army soldiers and at the memorial. The memory of the soldiers who died for the Motherland was honored with a minute of silence.
