Servicemen of the subversive forces and weapons counteraction detachment (PDSS) of the Leningrad Naval Base of the Baltic Fleet examined the parking areas of the fleet’s warships, checking the water area for possible laying of explosives and caches, as well as inspecting the underwater units and propeller-driven groups of surface ships.

After surveying the water area, the combat swimmers worked out underwater orientation in poor visibility, and also dived to various depths.

The training of such tasks by the servicemen of the PDSS detachment is carried out on an ongoing basis at all bases of the fleet forces, regardless of the time of year and weather conditions.
