The audience of the Moscow State Services mobile app has grown significantly since September 2019. The number of its active users was replenished by almost one million people. All this is due to the fact that new opportunities are constantly appearing in the application for quickly and conveniently receiving services and services without leaving home.

Also, Muscovites actively use services for transmitting readings of water and electricity meters, paying for housing and communal services. In addition, with the help of “Moscow State Services” you can check whether a fine has been issued, find information about the evacuation of a car, make an appointment with a doctor or schedule a visit to a veterinarian.

How the application changed

In November 2019, the Help section was updated in the mobile application. Now users instantly receive an answer to a question of interest, without contacting technical support for this, since this section contains a list of answers to the most popular questions about the work of city services.

New useful features for Muscovite cardholders have also appeared in the application. For example, in order to receive a discount in a store, it is no longer necessary to carry the card with you. It is enough to enter its data into the application, and at the checkout show the barcode of the Muscovite card from a smartphone. You can also sort the offers of the partners of the discount program by the size of the discount, types of goods and services, the name of the trade and service network and brand. A convenient filter has been created for this. You can use the services for checking the readiness of the card and the availability of data in the register of students, residents, graduate students.

In 2019, users have the opportunity to subscribe to notifications, which will prompt in time that the time has come for the transmission of readings from electricity meters. In the service “Transfer of readings” added the ability to view data on the electricity meter, payment history, electricity consumption statistics and archive of transmitted readings.

In the spring of 2020, the Appointment to a Doctor service offered the opportunity to quickly register online for testing for antibodies to COVID-19 and for PCR testing to determine the presence of the virus.

The Moscow State Services mobile application appeared in 2012. Through it, townspeople can get access to the most popular services and services – utilities, transport, educational and others. The app has been downloaded nearly six million times since launch, according to the Department of Information Technology.

Now the city is seeing an increase in the incidence of COVID-19, and the number of hospitalizations has increased. A number of measures have been taken to stabilize the situation. People over 65 and those with chronic conditions should stay at home. Since October 9, free travel on public transport has been temporarily suspended for them.
