A man was arrested after allegedly breaking into a charity headquarters at Edwardstown this evening.
A witness rang police after seeing an intruder at the South Road, Edwardstown premises about 5.30pm on Sunday 25 October.
The suspect ran off, jumping fences into neighbouring properties, while being chased by the witness and a friend. They were able to provide a description of the suspect and give his location to the attending patrols.
Police also received multiple calls from residents in the area reporting the man running through their yards.
Police patrols were able to move their cordons in response to the new information coming in from the public. Police searched the area with the assistance of Police Dog Zeus.
Just before 6.30pm, PD Zeus located the suspect more than two kilometres away in the driveway of a property on Abbeville Terrace, Marion.
The 46-year-old Mitchell Park man was arrested and charged with serious criminal trespass, theft and possess drug equipment. He was refused police bail and will appear in the Adelaide Magistrates Court on Monday.
