Teachers conducted over 481,000 online lessons for middle and high school students.

In the first week of distance learning, educators put up almost two million marks in electronic journals “Moscow Electronic School” (“MESH”). The guys received one million 89 thousand fives. This was told in the press service of the capital Department of Education and Science.

In just this week, teachers have provided more than 481,000 online video-conferencing lessons for middle and high school students. This is 91 percent of the total number of all planned distance classes at MES. At the same time, more than 12 million online lesson sessions took place.

Moscow Electronic School is a digital educational platform with a wide range of services for teachers, students, parents and school management teams. The project was developed by the Moscow Department of Education and Science in cooperation with Department of Information Technology… Now MES has more than two million users. More than 600 thousand students and teachers are connected to the lessons every day.

Since October 19, 500 thousand pupils of the sixth – eleventh grades of the capital’s schools are on two-week distance learning. This decision was made on the basis that older students are more at risk of contracting coronavirus infection. In addition, the guys are better at information technology. The transition to distance learning will preserve their health, as well as reduce the burden on schools and safely organize full-time studies for the first to fifth grades.

Since the beginning of the academic year, general cleaning using disinfectants has been regularly carried out in all educational institutions of the capital. They also installed closed-type bactericidal lamps that disinfect the air, and dispensers with an antiseptic. At the entrance, students take temperature measurements, and this is done during the school day. To make children move around the building less, they assigned their own office to each class, and teachers come to them themselves. For different classes, lessons begin at different times, so breaks, breakfast and lunch times are different for each parallel.
