REC General Director Veronika Nikishina spoke at the meeting of the Presidiums of the Management Board of OPORA RUSSIA, where she spoke about support measures for SMEs when entering foreign markets.

She noted that an effective support system is essential for the exporting SMEs segment. “The Russian Export Center as a development institution builds the system in such a way that its elements do not compete with each other and do not duplicate each other’s work. We are building this ecosystem so that the exporter is in the center and everything works in his interests, ”Veronika Nikishina addressed all those present.

It is important to organize an extensive infrastructure in which tools, products and resources would be presented, taking into account the characteristics of each company, because large businesses need some support measures, while SMEs need fundamentally different ones.

For this, work should be carried out in the following areas:

First: Physical accessibility – it is critical to ensure quality work with SMEs in the regions where companies are located through the infrastructure of export support centers.

The second element of the availability of support measures is the ease of obtaining the desired service.

For the convenience of the client, the Russian Export Center creates the information system “One Window”, which includes all services of REC, CPE, as well as government services of ministries and departments. The platform will provide not only convenient navigation across the entire range of services, but also allow receiving them in digital format.

Third, specialized products are insurance for SMEs and Export Standard credit.

This year, based on many years of practice and thousands of completed transactions, the Russian Export Center has created optimal conditions for deferred payment insurance specifically for exporters of the SME segment. Also, REC JSC has developed a new financial instrument – the Export Standard loan, which does not imply a firm pledge – only the proceeds from the export contract and, of course, the guarantees of the beneficiaries are taken as security.

Fourth: properly built logistics. To simplify B2B communication, the Russian Export Center, together with the Russian Post and Russian Railways, develops logistics using preferential tariffs for transportation.
